Emelia, Bob, Party & Minnie – Equine Photography, Essex

Last week I visited Emelia, her mum, Jane and their matching trio of showjumping ponies, over at their beautiful home in Uttlesford.

Twelve year-old Emelia Mitchell has qualified for the 128cm National Show Jumping Championship at Horse of the Year Show, with both Bob (Wyndham Tom Thumb) and Party (Time to Party), which she will be competing at in October.

She has had the third pony, Minnie (Martlets Masters Madam) since she was just nine years-old and Minnie and Emilia currently hold the 11 year-old and under Pony of the Year Show (POYS) Champion title.

But sadly, as Emelia grows in age and height, she has fast outgrown these ponies and the 128cm classes and all three ponies will be moving on to pastures new after HOYS and Emelia will be searching for her next partner in crime. Which is why Emelia’s mum, Jane, wanted to book a shoot to mark a very successful, happy year with three superstars.

I had a lovely morning working with Emelia and these three dinky little ponies. They were all so well mannered and cooperative, and Emelia was the sweetest, most polite young lady, who made my job so easy. And of course, we had the beautiful scenery of Jane and Emelia’s Tudor style home and gardens as our backdrop, which always helps create stunning images. And how adorable is the group shot?!

Thank you to Emelia and Jane for having me and to big sister Ellie, for her help with the shoot. Wishing you lots of success for the future and with your new pony, Emelia.
