I’m so fortunate, with my job that I get to meet and work with so many lovely people. And that I get to photograph such a wide variety of horses. And group photoshoots just highlight this fact, for me.
At the weekend I spent the most enjoyable day at Greenstead Green livery yard, photographing a whole host of horses, ponies and owners. And they were such fantastic models and great sports.
This shoot all started out because a lady called Michelle got in touch to book a shoot for her daughter, Sophia’s 14th birthday. And when she mentioned to the other liveries that I was coming to photograph Sophia, they decided they’d like to play, too. So, the shoot just grew. Every time I spoke to Michelle, more and more people had decided to join us.
Group photoshoots are such great fun because everybody really gets into the spirit of things and they can all share in the excitement and preparation, before and on the day. And this shoot was no different. Huge thank you to Munch, who kept us fed with gorgeous scones and cakes, and to Michelle who was an absolute superstar at organising everything and made me more cups of tea than I can count!
Because the whole day was initially a birthday treat for Sophia, and because of Michelle’s awesome organisation skills, I spent a little more time with Sophie and I’m going to share her images on a separate blog, tomorrow.
On to the photographs, I’d like to introduce to you, Bonnie, Peggy, Kim, Duke, Mike, Ted, Munch, Biscuit, Emily, Pie, Vera, Tim, Emma, Bailey, Jane, Syd, Rachel, Silver and Whinnie.
