Happy Birthday to my Boyfriend of Twelve Years!

Yep, that’s right, Sam (yes, I have a boyfriend and a brother called Sam) and I have been together since we were just sixteen and not even out of school yet. We met when some of my friends played rugby against him and apparently he asked me out because he thought I’d look good on his arm. (His own words!) Lol! Little did we know what we were letting ourselves in for and I’m pretty sure I deserve a medal. 😉 But, I guess, as it was his birthday yesterday, I should probably be nice to him. At least for the duration of this blog.

In all honesty, I want to wish a very happy belated 27th birthday (we were busy yesterday) to my best friend and my partner in crime. We’ve pretty much grown up together and we’ve definitely grown together, too. We survived school, college and uni, together. We’ve worked together and lived together. And we’ve recently started a new chapter in our new home.

There is nobody I would rather have by my side, through the highs and lows, to share the adventure of our future and to support one another during whatever life throws at us. He drives me nuts and, even though he’s six months younger than me, he can be a really grumpy old man at times, but he also makes me laugh, he keeps my head out of the clouds, he looks after me and I love him to pieces.

And that’s about as soppy as he would want me to get, so I’ll leave it there. Happy Birthday Sam!
